It won’t work.
Position matters. Put the camera on top of your TV or on a shelf directly in front of your play space. Make sure nothing blocks its view.
No lamps, no people walking behind you, no glare off the lens.

Wiring the PS VR Processor Unit
I plugged mine in last week. It took six minutes.
The Processor Unit is that black box with ports labeled HDMI TV, HDMI PS4, AUX, and power. (Yes, it says PS4. No, it’s not broken.
It works fine with PS5.)
I grabbed the HDMI cable from my PS5’s HDMI Out port and shoved it into the “HDMI PS4” port on the box. Don’t overthink it. Sony just didn’t update the label.
Then I ran another HDMI cable from the “HDMI TV” port to an open HDMI input on my TV. You’ll switch inputs like normal. Nothing fancy.
Next, I plugged the USB-A end of the included cable into the front of my PS5. The other end went into the AUX port on the box. (That AUX port isn’t for audio.
It’s a USB 3.0 data link. Surprise.)
I plugged in the power adapter. Wall outlet. Done.
No drivers. No firmware prompts. No restarts.
You turn on your PS5, put on the headset, and go.
Some people get stuck here. They stare at the box, then the cables, then the manual (which) is basically useless. I get it.
It looks messy.
But it’s not.

If you’re still stuck, check your HDMI cables. Not all of them support 4K/60Hz passthrough. Some cheap ones will kill the signal.
